
Since June 1st, Bill 96 has transformed the Charter of the French Language and created many new obligations regarding the use of French in the workplace, in advertising, and in daily life. This talk will address practical compliance requirements faced by video game studios, many of which apply to organizations with 25 of more employees. We will address questions like how part-time employees, freelancers, and remote work outside Quebec affect the calculation of this threshold. We will address the workplace and employment obligations triggered once the threshold is passed. The talk will also cover what kinds of documents, contracts, advertising, and software need to be translated. Compliance tips and resources will be shared.
